ASRM

Only ASRM Member Physicians

All of the Doctors listed in the IVF Universe Directory are members of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). This directory will list M.D. and D.O. degree physicians who are full, Active members of ASRM. Please note that that this directory does not indorse any specific member physician. A Doctor's Membership in the American Society for Reproductive Medicine indicates an interest in the area of reproductive medicine, but does not attest to a member's training, experience, or expertise in treating problems related to reproduction. ASRM members must all submit an application stating their education and qualifications to become a member. The ASRM requires its members to demonstrate the high ethical principles of the medical profession, manifest an interest in reproductive medicine and biology, and adhere to the objectives of the Society.

The American Society for Reproductive Medicine was founded by a small group of fertility experts who met in Chicago in 1944.  Distinguished members of ASRM have led the development of the field of reproductive medicine.  They were the first physicians to perform many of the standard procedures used by fertility specialists today, including donor insemination and in vitro fertilization. They have developed new approaches to contraception and ovulation induction that are still in use. Also, the ASRM has helped form key legislation and they fought for reproductive rights when public policy in reproductive matters did not exist.

Today, ASRM members reside in all 50 of the United States and in over 100 other countries.  The Society is multidisciplinary, with members including obstetrician/gynecologists, urologists, reproductive endocrinologists, embryologists, mental health professionals, internists, nurses, practice administrators, laboratory technicians, pediatricians, research scientists, and veterinarians.

If you don't find a Doctor in your area, please check back. New Doctors/Centers are added regularly.
